How We Got Here

Every firm's got an origin story. Ours started with three lawyers who were tired of seeing businesses get steamrolled by legal issues that could've been handled way better. We knew there had to be a smarter approach to corporate law - one that actually protects what you've built.

2012

The Beginning

Started out of a cramped office in Gastown with just three partners and one paralegal. We took on cases the big firms thought were too complicated or not flashy enough. Turns out, that's where the real work is.

2015

Big Win

Won a massive M&A case that put us on the map. A mid-sized tech company was getting squeezed in an acquisition deal - we restructured the whole thing and saved them about $18M. Word got around fast after that.

2018

Expansion

Moved to the Waterfront Centre and brought on six more partners who shared our vision. We weren't trying to be the biggest - just the best at what we do. Corporate governance and strategic litigation became our bread and butter.

2021

Specialization

Launched our IP protection division after seeing too many clients lose their competitive edge to patent trolls and trademark disputes. We've handled everything from software patents to brand protection cases across North America.

2025

Today

We're now a team of 24 legal professionals handling complex cases across BC and beyond. Still in the same Waterfront office, still taking on the tough cases, still doing it our way. The suits got nicer but the approach stayed the same.
